Indoor Pollutants Can Be Worse Than Those Found Outdoors Rebel Green to Debut New Line of Plant Based Household Cleaners
We all know how bad outdoor pollution can be at times. Did you know indoor pollutants may be two to five times higher than outdoor levels? Sources include those you might expect: gas stoves, fireplaces, and cigarettes; building materials such as treated wood and paints, furnishings, carpet, and fabrics. It’s the common sources you might not expect: window cleaners, laundry soap and other household cleaners. Considering most people spend as much as 90% of their time indoors (www.3.EPA.gov) that’s bad news for those of us deep into our winter hibernation.
Two Milwaukee moms and the founders of Rebel Green, Fruit and Veggie Clean produce wash were inspired to help make their family’s living spaces healthier. They are debuting an all natural line of plant based household cleaning products.
Ali Florsheim and Melina Marcus were tired of watching their families, like so many others, suffer from allergies ranging from skin irritations to asthma and migraines, due to chemical exposure from conventional household cleaners. They knew their families could make the switch to using all natural cleaners if they performed just as well as the conventional stuff and were a good value. Rebel Green offers a full line of natural household cleaners with the eye catching packaging their produce wash is known for. The products contain only plant based ingredients and they use only pure essential oils, no synthetic fragrances.
Product highlights include a USDA Certified Organic laundry line and an All Purpose Spray with food grade ingredients so you can clean your fridge and counter tops without worrying about harsh chemicals near your food. Ali says,
“The products will become habit forming and will encourage people to make the switch from conventional products to Rebel Green’s all natural lifestyle. We want everyone to know that natural cleaners work just as well, if not better than conventional cleaners and are better for you and the planet.”
Rebel Green’s full line of household cleaning products are sold at Sendiks, all locations, Mecalfes, Albrechts, Wood Lake Market in Kohler and Ace Hardware Mequon.
Come join us as we celebrate Earth Day on Saturday, April 23rd 2016 from 4:00p.m. to 6 p.m. at Ace Hardware Mequon for our “Mother Earth and Martini’s” event. We’ll be handing out samples of the new Rebel Green cleaning line. A portion of the proceeds will go to The Great Lakes Water Institute.
