These tips from our laundry experts will keep your clothes and linens fresh & clean.
- Sort before you wash. We like sorting light/white colored fabrics from dark ones. That new pair of awesome dark jeans should be washed alone on its first trip to the machine.
- Wash sheets and towels at least once a week–ideally between every 3-4 days. We have no desire to gross you out with tales of what your linens could harbor. Just try us on this one!
- Remove stains before they set with a tad or water and this detergent. Empty pockets, you know what's in there....gum, coins and stuff.
- Choosing the right setting for the wash–permanent press is usually the way to go for average size loads. Choose "normal" for tough stains & dirty.
- Maintain your washer and dryer–clean the washer with a clean, damp cloth as often as possible after every use. Remove the lint screen on the dryer before every use.
- Apply deodorants and perfumes before getting dressed and after use, hang them up to air them out and keep wrinkle free.
- Shameless plug for us here, but we suggest only using a natural laundry detergent. If it's not ours, pick one that doesn't have harsh chemicals and strong masking added scents. You don't want to wear that on your skin all day, every day. Those substances mix with body oils an skin cells. We ❤️ you and don't wish a moment's worth of irritation and unwanted odor for you.
